With much sadness, we share the news of the unexpected passing of our beloved, father Tata and grandfather, Dida, Mike (Mijo) Krilanovich. Tata was called into the loving hands of our Lord on February 5th, 2023.
Mike lived an amazing life. At the young age of 19, he set sail for new opportunities and freedoms. He fled to Italy, then to Austria and Germany before settling in Canada.
Mike was a brave, fearless and compassionate man. Our family was blessed to learn from him the power of prayer, to have an unwavering faith in God, to cherish our Croatian-Konavolske traditions, and love of family. He was a true friend to many, always ready and willing to lend a hand. He lives on in our hearts and our memories.
Mike is predeceased by his loving wife of 59 years: Maria; parents: Stijepo and Jele Krilanović (née Simović); brothers, Pero, Stevan, and Mato; sisters Jelenika and Anka Rešetar (née Krilanović).
He is survived by his daughter, Elaine (Angelo) Čikeš; son, Stephen (Emily) Krilanovich; grandchildren Juliet, Aria, and Rhys; brother Pavo (Luce) Krilanović; brother-in-laws: Ante (Luce) and Milo (Vesna) Arbulić; sister-in-law: Magdalena Krilanovich; nieces and nephews: Pepo, Esteblo, Marija, Marko, Paublo, Stijepo, Elena, Milo, Nives, Michael, Marijana, Michaela and Vlaho; and many more family and friends in Canada, Croatia, the USA, and Argentina.
