Mila Skoro, 90, was born on May 1, 1936, in Runovic, Croatia, to Manda and Luka Jakic. She returned peacefully to God on October 26, 2026, with her daughter by her bedside.
On February 6, 1958, Mila married Marijan Skoro, also of Runovic. Together, they were blessed with two children, Borislav and Ljupka. Mila moved to Paris in 1965 and, in November 1969, began a new chapter in Portland, Oregon. Throughout her life, she remained deeply rooted in the Catholic faith and Croatian traditions she carried with her. She was known for her welcoming nature and strong work ethic. Her years were filled with many accomplishments, cherished celebrations, and the love of family and friends.
Mila was preceded in death by her parents, Manda and Luka Jakic, her brothers, Ivan and Ante, and her husband, Marijan Skoro. She is survived by her son, Borislav (Milenka) Skoro; her daughter, Ljupka (Mladen) Stipic; five grandchildren, Nikolina (Sean) Christensen, Alen (Andrea) Stipic, Marin Skoro, Eric Skoro & Roman Stipic; three great-grandchildren, Julius, Boris & Royce Christensen; and many beloved relatives in Portland and Croatia.
