Age 80, beloved wife of the late James W. Kueker, passed away on September 28, 2021 surrounded by her family.
She was a loving mother to Marina Sedmak (Thomas Wood, Jr.) and grandmother of Sophie Wood and Daniel Wood; daughter of the late Petar and Marija Bilic; sister of Marijan Bilic (Mila), Katarina Grubisic (Pavao), and Zlata Filipec (Filip), and remembering her departed siblings Ante Bilic, Joseph Bilic (Matija), Marija Nakic, Matija Zaja, and Anda Bilic.
In addition, she leaves behind many dear neices and nephews in both Croatia and the United states. Mirjana was born in Studenci, Croatia, and emigrated to America with her first husband, Bozidar Sedmak, and daughter in 1970. She lived in Amherst and Westlake, Ohio, worked for many years at Joseph & Feiss in Lorain, and later co-owned a bar and restaurant in Brookpark.
After her grandchildren were born, she devoted herself to caring for them and ensuring everyone in the family was well looked after, being an especially accomplished gardener and cook.
Family will receive friends at 10am on Saturday, October 9, at Busch Funeral Home, 32000 Detroit Road, Avon, Ohio. Funeral service will begin shortly after visitiation begins. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, 32789 Detroit Rd, Avon. 440-937-6175
