Nick Lovrich, a lifelong resident of San Pedro, CA, passed away on July 26, 2021. He was 55 years old at the time of his death.
Nick graduated from San Pedro High School in 1983. After graduating, he attended California State University at Long Beach. He worked in drywall for years, along with being a casual longshoreman. He became registered in ILWU in 2007. Nick was an avid golfer, surfer, and body surfer. Nick ran his own drywall crew for many years.
His crew (and there were many through the years) knew he ran a tight ship. It was his way or the highway. Predeceased by his father Walter, he is survived by his mother Mary Ann, siblings John (Jennifer), Christy (Pat), and Marie (Eric), his nephews Dustin (Jacqlyn), Jason, Dylan, Kyle, Maverick, Maddox, Nixon, numerous extended family and friends.
Funeral Mass will be offered at Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church on Friday, July 30, 2021. Viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. Rosary and the funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a scholarship fund in Nick's name to The San Pedro Pirate Boosters.
