Niko was born on February 25, 1928 in Molunat, Croatia, and was one of eight children born to Mato and Jele Cvjetkovic.
Niko was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend. He truly loved St. Anthony Croatian Church and the Croatian community and attended all the various Croatian events.
Niko made a point of welcoming new parishioners and visitors and serving as a Goodwill Ambassador for St. Anthonys.
Niko is survived by his wife, Jelka; his son Martin Cvjetkovic, daughter and son-in-law Mary and Scott Washington, son and daughter-in-law John and Drazenka Cvjetkovic, daughter and son-in-law Nancy and Steve Simich, daughter and son-in-law Tina and Mark (preceded in death) Artukovich, son and daughter-in-law Niko and Anne Cvjetkovic; 15 grandchildren Lucy Batchelor, Christina Artukovich, Anthony Artukovich, Johnny Cvjetkovic, Leo Simich, Andrea Artukovich, Nicholas Cvjetkovic, Helena Simich, Amanda Artukovich, Timmy Washington, Maggie Simich, Nicole Artukovich, Erica Washington, Kate Cvjetkovic, and Natalie Cvjetkovic; and 8 great-grandchildren Skylar Batchelor, Chloe Batchelor, Jack Batchelor, Roko Artukovich, Etta Artukovich, Mark Artukovich, Anthony Artukovich, Riley Artukovich, and two on the way; and many other loving relatives.
