With great sorrow, we announce the passing of Martin Bacic on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at 6 am, at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, in his 86th year.
Beloved husband of Ana Bacic for 58 years of marriage. Loving father to his two sons, Zdravko (Dave) & Denis and daughter in law Ana Bacic (Matijasic). Proud grandfather of Niko and Luka Bacic. Dear brother of Mike Bacic, predeceased by his brother, Drago Bacic of Germany, and Joe Bacic of Toronto, Barka Bacic of Croatia.
Born in Croatia on 19 May, 1934 Martin, his wife and son Zdravko immigrated to Canada and settled in Georgetown On., in 1969. He started his career as a utility lineman, commercial inside wireman, and ended his career as maintenance electrician at Nortel Networks until his retirement.
In retirement, he enjoyed hunting, his trips to Croatia and spending time with his family and especially entertaining his grandchildren Niko and Luka.
He will be sadly missed by many family, friends and neighbors both in Canada and Croatia.

Family and friends will be received at the Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown (905) 877-3631 on Thursday March 25, 2021 from 6-8 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at the Queen of Peace Croatian Catholic Church on Saturday March 27, 2021 at 10 AM, by invitation only, followed by a committal and burial at the Holy Redeemer Catholic Cemetery in Georgetown.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, only 30 people are permitted to be in the funeral home for each half hour visitation period. Please call the funeral home to register for visitation by 3 p.m. on Thursday.
