Nick was born on 21 August 1942 in the small village of Žrnovo on the island of Korčula, Croatia. He came to New Zealand in January 1961. Beloved husband of Lynette, much loved father to Marina and Deanna, father-in-law to Steven, and a proud, loving grandfather to Cash.
His family was at the heart of his life. His warmth will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Arriving in New Zealand with little more than a plastic bag of belongings, he built a life rich in love, friendship, and family. From humble beginnings, he leaves behind a legacy of strength, generosity, and a deep connection with those around him. Settling in Auckland, he worked as a stonemason.
He was a dedicated member of Central United Football Club from 1962 - the club and football remained lifelong passions.
