He was the son of the late Milé and Marica (Hielmann) Jurjevich. He married the love of his life, Jo Ann R. (Seil) Jurjevich, and they enjoyed 30 years of marriage until her passing November 1, 2014.
Nick worked in maintenance for GAF for over 20 years and then worked for Lewis University until retirement.
He was a member and Past President of the Croatian Cultural Club, and loved visiting the casinos. He was affectionately known by family and friends as "Uncle Nick."
He is survived by two nephews, Nick (Ana) Dukovac of Shorewood and Mario (Pam) Dukovac; one niece, Mirjana (Lee) Gesme of Long Grove; and several great-nieces.
