Born in Zadar, Croatia to Mila and Srecko Barulic, she is remembered for her spunk, love of travel, and love of her home on Olib.
With her love of travel, Nives has worked decades for the airlines as an airport customer service agent and joyously for the last 11 years as a flight attendant for Delta Airlines. She completed her associates degree in Speech Pathology at St. John’s University and her Bachelor of Arts at Queens College, but always found her way back in the air. When she wasn’t traveling, out dancing or dining with her friends and family, she could always be found in her garden singing to her favorite music.
Spiritual and a follower of God, she was guided through life with the saying: “If God Allows It…Accept it”, which reflected in her resilience, problem solving, and capability to always find joy in the hard times of life.She is survived by her two daughters, Bianca and Natasha Stiles, her parents Mila and Srecko Barulic, and her brother John Barulic.
