Preminuo:29.04.2026. (Burnaby, Britanska Kolumbija, Kanada)
Dob: 89
He passed away in Burnaby Hospital at 5:45 a.m. He was afflicted by multiple medical ailments which he bravely and courageously fought for a substantial period of time. His strong will and determination to survive was an intrinsic part of his character which was defined from early experiences in his life. Pasko was born in the village of Kljake Croatia, the beloved son of Ante Cule and Ana Cule. Predeceased by his siblings Ika, Jela, Mara, Maria, Ilija, Petar, his son Kreso and survived by brother Mate. He will lovingly be remembered by his wife Mira, his son Michael, and his brother Mate. He will fondly be thought of by his son Anton, many nieces and nephews, cousins and the many friends that he forged a strong bond with during his life.
Pasko moved out north to Germany in his 20's to pursue the chance of making a better life for himself. From there immigration officials caught up with him which inevitably afforded him an opportunity to immigrate to Canada. On September 26 1962 he arrived in Quebec. From there he gradually made his way out west with brief stays in Toronto, Alberta, and eventually settling down in Vancouver. He enrolled in classes to learn English and carpentry which would become his main vocation. He also pursued opportunities to become a salmon fisherman in Alaska.
He first made contact with his soon to be wife Mira via mail correspondence and eventually traveled to Novi Vinodolski to meet in person. They eventually became engaged and married in Crikvenica. From there they travelled to Italy en route to France to meet with his brother Petar where Mira received immigration papers for Canada. They found and moved into a home in east Vancouver located on renfrew street and along the way came bouncing baby boy, Michael. Pasko and Mira surrounded themselves with friends whom they welcomed as fellow countrymen and women. Eventually Pasko became an independent home builder where it would eventually lead the family to firmly settle in Burnaby. Pasko had health problems in the past 25 years which resulted from 2 serious strokes but lived with vigor and hope for better days ahead.
Pasko's style of sharing stories or telling a joke will always be remembered as a boisterous event of laughter and good cheer. He is deeply missed and loved.
