She was born in Burbank, Calif., on May 14, 1945, to Mark and Mary Biondich. She graduated from St. Anthony Catholic High School in Long Beach,Calif., and went on to pursue a medical career as a registered nurse for over 40 years in Santa Clara County, California.

Patty took great pride in her Croatian heritage. She lived the Croatian culture whether it was through music, dance or her involvement with the Croatian church in San Jose, Calif. She shared her love of Croatian music with her community of friends, participating and attending the national Croatian folklore extravaganzas held annually in various locations across the country.

She was dedicated member of the Croatian Catholic Church folklore dance group "Koraci." As an accomplished seamstress she worked to create authentic Croatian dance costumes for the dance group-researching the areas and dress to replicate authentic Croatian dress/costumes.

As a nurse she advocated for Croatian /Bosnian patients that she cared for, especially during the Balkan war in the 1990s. Helping found and provide leadership for the Croatian Mothers Humanitarian Association, a non-profit organization supporting displaced mothers during the Balkan Wars.

She is survived by two aunts, Betty Olson of Gilbert, Minn., and Elizabeth Deanovic of Faribault, Minn.; and numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary.
