He will be truly missed by his beloved and devoted wife Rose (Ruza) for 57 years. Forever cherished and remembered father of Michael (Diana) and Maria. Cherished by his grandchildren as their “Dida Pećo” Ana Mijaljavic (Zvone), Rose Budisa (Ivan), Kate Repar (Marko) and Peter. Great-grandfather to the babies Leo, Michael, Eva and Lana. Dear brother of Kate Stepic (Cleveland) and Draga Ivetac.
Sadly missed by Kumovi Sulug, Kumovi Mijic and many friends and family throughout Canada, USA and Croatia. Petar (Pećo) will be remembered for his love of family, friends and his homeland Croatia (and his village Cetingrad). We will always remember that he was a great story teller.
We were blessed that we heard all his stories of growing up in Croatia, his life as an immigrant in Winnipeg and Hamilton and working in Firestone and Slater Steel. A great husband, father and friend. We will miss him so much. Thank you to St. Joseph’s Hospital for taking care of him at the end.
