Beloved son of Ljubica "Lillian" and the late Frank Resijan. Cherished brother of David Resijan (Stephanie) and Marilyn Misaljevic (Asaf).
Cherished uncle of Stephen, Matthew, Rachel, Adrian, Lucas and Maya. Ricky will be sadly missed by Walter Drozd and his uncles; Nick Moravac (Katherine), Alojz Moravac, Alojz Resjan (Janica), aunts; Dragica Pecar (the late Ivan), Marica Sambol (the late Joze) cousins, relatives and friends in Canada, United States and Croatia.
Ricky had a zest for life and was willing to help anyone in need. His infectious personality and strength shone through when he was performing as a professional dancer and teaching the future generation of aspiring dancers.
His deep faith and passion for lifelong learning allowed Ricky to accomplish a Master's Degree from New York University and a Doctorate Degree of Education from D'Youville University.
He was most proud of writing his thesis research book on the benefits of dance for people with Parkinson's Disease.
Due to current health regulations, a livestream of Ricky’s funeral mass will be available to view on Friday, February 12 2021 at 12 noon by logging on to Holy Cross Croatian Church Facebook page: www.facebook.com/holycrosscroatian. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Muscular Dystrophy Canada, in memory of his late father.
