It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Roko Obratov, beloved husband of the late Maria Obratov, loving father to Liliana Petrusa (Vilko) and the late Mark Obratov (Zeljka).
He was greatly admired and adored by his six grandchildren Marina, Josip (Gloria), Stephen, Stephanie (Pete), Christina (Josip), Catherina (Danijel) and his four great-granddaughters Lilly, Maya, Olivia & Teya.
Roko immigrated to Toronto, Canada with his family from Tisno, Croatia in 1961. He lived a long, beautiful life. A hardworking man, he worked as a cook for CIBC for over 30 years where he developed his passion for cooking and baking.
He enjoyed the outdoors with his family, from fishing on the lake to driving his boat and relaxing at his trailer. He enjoyed many travels with his late wife Maria and family trips back to Croatia. He loved to watch all sports, tell stories, joke around, and play a good game of brisk. Most of all he loved to enjoy any time with his family, especially with his great-granddaughters who he adored and loved so much.
Our beloved Stari Dida will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
In light of the current global pandemic and the present restrictions placed on group gatherings, the visitation, Mass of Christian Burial and Interment will be by invitation only.
