Slavka Vukovic (nee Flanjak), born on April 23, 1941, in Cetingrad, Croatia, gently passed away on July 31, 2026, leaving behind a legacy defined by her unwavering faith and dedication to family and her community.
Beloved wife of the late Ivan Vukovic for 47 years; loving mother of Milka (Jure) Krpan, Marija (Branko) Cubela, Jure (Rosie) Vukovic, Francika (Niko) Slomo, and Pero (Stefanie) Vukovic; cherished grandmother of 17; caring great grandmother of 6; sister of the late Mirko Flanjak, Zvonko Flanjak, and Slavko Flanjak; and an aunt and cousin to many more.
She was also preceded in death by her parents Jure and Francika Flanjak (nee Filipcic).
Slavka embodied strength and selflessness, always putting the needs of others before her own. She found joy in the simplest of pleasures, particularly in cooking, baking, and gardening; sharing that love by feeding anyone and everyone around her.
A devoted member of her community, Slavka always remained active, particularly cherishing her time with her Croatian retirement group. She was a beacon of kindness, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her and keeping her spirit bright; Slavka continued to pray even until her final days.
Most of all, Slavka cherished her time spent with her children and grandchildren creating many precious memories over the years. May she rest in peace, embraced by the love she so freely gave.
