It is with heavy hearts and great sadness we announce the passing of Slavko Panezic, loving Husband, Father, Father-in-Law and Grandfather at 4:30 am on May 24, 2022 at Trillium hospital. He leaves behind his loving wife of 51 years, Ivanka, his son Alan and the apple of his eye, his grandson Adrian.
Born in Glinska Poljana, a small farm village in Croatia on November 1, 1941, he started from humble beginnings. He led a remarkable life, immigrating to Canada as a single man with 2 suitcases and $200 in his pocket in 1969. During his career at the Canadian Welding Bureau, he travelled the world driving international welding standards while making friends wherever he went.
We miss him terribly already; may he rest forever in Jesus’ loving embrace.
