She was born on December 15, 1921, in Steelton and was the daughter of the late Toma and Theresa (Baron) Plasic.
Stephania was very proud of her Croatian descent and also the fact that she was 102 ½ years old. She was a member of Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Middletown. You may remember Stephania from the downtown Thrift Shop, Community Aide, or the 50 Plus Club.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Nicholas J. Matincheck and four siblings.
Stephania is survived by her loving children, Thomas E. Matincheck and his wife Patricia, Stephanie A. Swartz and her husband Soloman, Edward T. Matincheck and his wife Patti, and Mark A. Matincheck and his wife Christine; grandchildren, Brian Swartz, Nicholas Matincheck, Scott Matincheck, Josh Matincheck, Annie Matincheck, Matthew Matincheck, Jeff Swartz, Amy Burrell, and Justin Matincheck; twelve great-grandchildren.
