Steve Cvitkovich of North Burnaby passed away shortly after sunrise on December 20.
He was born in East Vancouver to Croatian immigrants from Udbina, Lika. Fiercely proud of his Croatian heritage, Steve was involved in his community with many organizations until the end of his life.
Pre-deceased by his parents Anton and Kata (Sutija), brother Fred and sister Mary, he is survived by his loving wife of 67 years Joan - the love of his life, sons Michael (Deborah), Peter (Mary), daughter Valerie (Vince), grandchildren Michael, Laura, Taylor, Montana, Natasha, Cody, Katerina, Anton, and Hope. Steve has 6 great-grandchildren with more scheduled to arrive in 2024. His brother Tony also survives him as do many relatives and friends around the world.
The family extends thanks to AgeCare Royal City and Just Like Family for the care provided to Steve during his final time and to Fra. Slaven for delivery of last rites.
