Steve Derežić of Painesville passed away surrounded by his family January 3, 2025. He was born September 19, 1958, born in Ivanovac, Slavonija Croatia to the late Tomo and Julijana Derežić (Boros).
Steve is survived by his wife of 38 years, Vesna, children Adriana Kučinić (Pave), Tomislav Derežić (Randi) and Marina Musa (Željko) and grandchildren Elena and Mijo Kučinić, Nora and Olivia Derežić, siblings John (Maria), Stephanie Sutter (John), Joseph, Frank (Rosie), Branko (Sharon), Danijel (Aimee), and Andrija (Chrissy), brother-in-law John Nekić (Keri). Steve also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Steve was a simple, sweet, kind man and everyone's favorite person to be around. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, brother-in-law and friend. He enjoyed the simple things in life, Tamburitza, the outdoors, and being with his children and grandchildren.
