Loving father of Joe (Tina), and Joanne (Jamie). Proud Dede of David (Kristi), Daniel (Ryan), Nicole and Olivia. Great-grandfather of Aiden, Jake and Zach. Dear brother of Anica Filipcic (the late Marijan). Wonderful uncle to Davor Filipcic (Suzanne), Kristina Dragun (Nik), and Michelle Jazvac. Brother-in-law of Mary Jazvac (Frank).
He will be lovingly remembered by his extended family and many friends. Steve retired from Dofasco after almost 30 years of dedicated service. A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful team at St. Joseph's Hospital for their kind and compassionate care.
Visitation is restricted to a specified number of attendees, all visitors will be required to wear a face covering, as well as provide name and telephone number to funeral home staff. Visitation at the MARKEY DERMODY FUNERAL HOME 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 from 2-4 pm and 6-9 pm. Vigil Prayers at 6 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Catholic Church, 1883 King Street East, Hamilton on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 11 am. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Holy Cross Church would be appreciated by the family.
