Passed away suddenly on July 14, 2021 at the age of 79. Loving husband of Vera for 55 years. Cherished father of Benita Collina (Emidio), Olivia Micieli (Willy) and Sylvia Judik. Beloved grandfather (Deda) to Brandon, Allysha, William, Marcus and Matteo. He is survived by his sister Anica and her family in Croatia. He leaves behind his sister-in-law Stefica, brother-in-law Borislav Zivanovic and their families. He will be missed by many friends and family in Germany, Croatia and Canada. Special thanks to Dr. Ingram and the dialysis team at St. Joseph's Healthcare on King Street.
Due to Covid-19, all visitations and funerals are restricted to a specified number of attendees. All visitors will be required to wear a face covering, as well as provide name and telephone number to funeral home staff. Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Monday July 19, 2021 from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Church, 1883 King Street East, on Tuesday, July 20 at 11 a.m. with interment at Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Kidney Foundation, Canadian Diabetes Association and the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
