Tomislav Markovic passed away peacefully at the age of 48 on January 15, 2024, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Tomi is survived by his loving wife Lindsay and daughters – Grace, Claire & Eloise. He is preceded in death by his father Petar, aunt Nevenka and uncle Tomo. Tomi is further survived by his mother Mirjana Markovic, best friend/brother David Markovic, aunts Verica Basic and Slavica Jaman, uncle Damir Braovac, cousins Anna Heise, Mirela Leko and other extended family.
He was the favorite son-in-law to Dan & Missy Kral. Brother-in-law to Abby & Matt Cheske, Danny Kral and Julia & Jason Lange. He will be sorely missed as the fun uncle to Zach, Brandon & Tanner Cheske and Ezra & Magnolia Lange. He also leaves behind countless friends both near and far.
Next to his love for his family and Croatian culture, Tomi’s love for the game of soccer was second to none. Throughout his years on the field either as a player or coach, he made an impact on many and will be missed. Tomi left an imprint on everyone he met and we are all better for having known him.
