Venka left Croatia in 1956 and lived in Italy, Colombia, and Canada before settling in University Place in 1971. Venka was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Slavonian American Benevolent Society.
She is preceded in death by her husband Danko of 60 years. She is survived by brothers Ivica of Vancouver, Canada and Angelo and Goyko of San Pedro, CA; son Ivan (Sarah), daughters Liliana (Victor) Samuelson, and Diane (Dave) Bacica Bolf; grandchildren: Karina (Chris) Busch, Karlo (Marissa) Bacica, Marisa (Minh) Samuelson; and great grandchildren Gavin and Victoria.
