It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Vida Amalia Sajder (nee Simčič), in her own home, on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at the age of 93, surrounded by her loving family.
Dearly beloved wife of the late Steve Sajder (2012). Loving Mom of Elizabeth and the late Steve Booth, Annie and Rob Poolman, Steven and Lori Sajder. Most cherished Oma of Steven (Kristyna), Sarah Booth and Mackenzie, Madison, Mason, Miley Sajder and Great Oma of Paxtyn Booth. Predeceased by her parents Anton and Alojzija Simčič.
Teta Vida will be missed by her nieces and nephews Paola and Angelo Tancredi of Italy, Erika and Marko Kogovšek, Aleš and Monika Simčič and Darko and Florica Simčič of Slovenia and cousin to Silva Jakončič of Slovenia, Connie Simčič (late Vinko) and Darlene and John Catalucci.
Beloved Tante of Joey Sajder, Tony and Jane Kasapowitsch, Katie Williams, Anna and Earl Tarbutt, Evelyn Clancy.
With great pride Vida came to Canada and met and married her Honey. They built a wonderful life in their much beloved Rosedale home enjoying family, friends, cooking and tending to their gardens.
A special thank you to Joannah and Kathy, Vida's personal support team, you ladies are very special angels that provided her comfort, care and support. To Leanne from HNHB LHIN, thank you for helping us be our Mom's advocate and making things happen! - greatly appreciated. To the wonderful PSW's from Bayshore Healthcare, who were gentle, caring, and brightened Vida’s day when you visited - thank you. To Rachael, RN Palliative Care, we can’t thank you enough for your care and compassion.
Thank you to Father Marko Štefanec from Holy Cross Croatian Church for visiting Mom. To Dr. Mary Syty for all your support and care, we thank you. To the many special angels who called, visited, skyped and facetimed, we can not thank you enough for your heartfelt love and affectionate care you showed to our beloved Vida, it meant a lot to her and we greatly appreciated it.
