In loving memory, we share the passing of our beloved Muz, Tata, Didi, and Pra-didi, Vinko Marich, on January 24, 2023.
He was born in Grude, Hercegovina on August 20, 1930 and passed away at the age of 92. Even though he spent the majority of his life in the US, his heart belonged to his cherished homeland, Croatia. There wasn’t a happier man alive when Croatia declared independence in 1991. He waved the Croatian flag from his balcony for days.
Vinko and Cvita were married in 1965, and raised three daughters who all got married and gave them 5 beautiful granddaughters and 3 handsome grandsons. His family grew to include 2 great grand-daughters and 4 great grandsons with two more on the way very soon. At every holiday, Vinko gave the same heartfelt, joyous speech sharing that he had two greatest dreams come true in life.
The first being a free Croatia, and next and most importantly the achievement of raising his beloved family. He knew that God had richly blessed his life. His passing has left a big hole in his family’s hearts but we take comfort in the many beautiful memories made, and that we will be reunited in God’s heavenly kingdom one day again. Rest in peace with the mercy of Jesus, dear Tata and Didi. We love you with all our hearts.
Vinko Marich is survived by his beloved spouse Cvita, married 57 years. Daughters: Diane (James), Marie (Jadran), Susan (Stanley). Grandchildren: Joanna (Philip) , Elizabeth (Bradley), Lauren (David), Nicole (Joseph), Matthew, Jakob, Justin, and Jenna. Great-grandchildren: Andrew, Amelia, Lucia, Luka, James, Connor and two babies on the way.
