It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Violet on June 27, 2026, two days after her 84th birthday.

Violet was the devoted and loving wife of Ron for 61 wonderful years. Together they built a life centered on love, family, and unwavering commitment. She was a cherished mother to Dawn-Marie Melchiorre (Mario) and Kevin Krmpotich (Lisa), who will forever be grateful for her endless love, guidance, and support.

She was the proud grandmother of Sam (Chelsie), Matthew (Keigan) Krmpotich, Mia, and Ava Melchiorre, who brought immeasurable joy and pride to her life. Violet was also blessed to be a great-grandmother to Eric and Jordyn Krmpotich-Pine, whom she adored.

Violet was the beloved daughter of the late Secondo "Sam” and the late Eda Euale, and the cherished sister of John Euale (Beverly). She was the beloved daughter-in-law of the late Martin and the late Rose Krmpotich.

She is lovingly remembered by her brother-in-law Matt Pavelich (Dragica) and sister-in-law Mary Anne Krmpotich. Predeceased by her sisters- and brothers-in-law Dorothy Trudel (Larry), Margie Lucas (Andy), Marty Pavelich (Marjorie), and Bob Krmpotich. Violet also leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, all of whom held a special place in her heart.

Violet dedicated more than six decades of her life to the nursing profession, a career that reflected her compassion, leadership, and unwavering commitment to caring for others. She graduated from St. Mary's School of Nursing at the General Hospital in Sault Ste. Marie and began her nursing career in 1963. Her exceptional skill and dedication led to her promotion to Head Nurse in 1967.

In the early 1970s, Violet joined Algoma Public Health, where she continued to serve her community with professionalism and care. During the 1980s, she became the Manager of Physician Support Services at the Group Health Centre, where she spent many successful years before her retirement from that role.

Never one to stop learning or sharing her knowledge, Violet began a new chapter in the late 1990s as a nursing instructor at Sault College. She found great fulfillment in mentoring and inspiring future generations of nurses, continuing to make a meaningful impact on the profession she loved. She finally retired at the remarkable age of 80, leaving behind an extraordinary legacy spanning more than 60 years in nursing.

Violet will be remembered not only for her outstanding professional accomplishments but also for her kindness, strength, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her family. Her greatest joy came from spending time with those she loved, celebrating family milestones, and creating cherished memories with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Her warmth, wisdom, and gentle spirit touched countless lives, both personally and professionally. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, excellence, and selfless service that will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, many dear friends, former colleagues, and the countless students whose lives she helped shape throughout her remarkable career.
