Zravko was born October 1st, 1962, in Hrvatska Kostajnica, Croatia to Nikola & Borka Malbasic. Zdravko spent his younger years In Mracaj, Croatia helping on the family farm and fishing in his free time.
Upon high school graduation, Zdravko began to work at the steel factory in Sisak, Croatia at the age of 18 and remained a dedicated employee until 1991. During his time in Sisak, he met the love of his life, Brankica, at a cafe in 1985. Soon after, the two married and welcomed their first child in 1986. In 1998, Zdravko and his family moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana and in 2001 settled in Jacksonville, FL.
Zdravko had a love and passion for: fishing, music, dancing, old Western movies, and most of all, his family. Zdravko was known for his resonating smile, kind heart, positive outlook, and willingness to help - a true friend to all. Zdravko’s strength and kindness will live on through all who knew and loved him, especially his family.
Zdravko is survived by his mother, Borka Malbasic; his wife, Brankica Malbasic; his daughter Dijana Malbasic; his son Davor (Carolyn) Malbasic & their four children; his brother Darko (Renata) Malbasic; his niece Tamara (Jerry) Ohmes; his nephew Boris Malbasic (Abbie Thacker) & their son, Jaylen. Thank you for making this world a better place. You will forever be loved and missed.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 10th at 2:00 p.m. at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin, 11801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32223.
