ZLATKO GRAHOVAC age 90, beloved husband for 62 years of Ankica (nee Dosen); loving father of Igor (wife Helena Gacina) and Renata McBride Barr; devoted grandfather of Josephine Grahovac, Connor and Cassidy McBride and Allyson Barr; great-grandfather of Greylen Yarbrough; cherished son of the late Antun and Slava (nee Lukac); dearest brother of Marica Svetlosak (husband Slavko) and the late Ivo Grahovac (wife Djurda, deceased); dear uncle and great-uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Zlatko was born on August 18, 1936, in Slavonia, Croatia, where he lived until he and Ankica immigrated to the United States in 1969. There, he worked hard to build a life for his family. He was deeply proud of his Croatian heritage and enjoyed listening to Croatian music, watching Croatian television, and following soccer. He also found a strong sense of community at the Croatian Home in Eastlake, where he formed lasting bonds with others of Croatian descent who had made the United States their home.
Zlatko found his greatest joy in spending time with his family and doting on his grandchildren. Over the years, he bought them hundreds of Hershey bars and every toy available at Drug Mart. He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion to family and friends and will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched.
