It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Zlatko Jezerinac on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, in his 94th year.
Predeceased by his beloved wife Ankica, with whom he shared 49 years of marriage. Loving father of Mary (Ivica) Medved and Nada (Drago) Radoš. Cherished grandfather of Anthony Radoš, Ivana (Frank) Starčević, Marianne (Damir) Letica, and Michael (Ana) Medved; and adored great-grandfather of Nina, Iva, Marina, Ema, and Luka.
Predeceased by his parents Nikola and Marica, and his brother Mijo. He will be dearly missed by his brothers Ivica and Zvonko, sisters-in-law Katica, Dorica, Barica, nephews, nieces, cousin Mary (Rick) Mavrinac and all family and friends in Canada and Croatia.
Zlatko was born in Jezerine, Croatia, on May 29, 1932. In 1958, he and his wife Ankica immigrated to Canada in search of a better life. Zlatko devoted himself to supporting his family, demonstrating remarkable resilience as he navigated the challenges of early immigrant life. As a skilled carpenter, he would ultimately establish his own woodwork manufacturing business, Metric Woods, alongside his brothers, driven by his entrepreneurial spirit, determination, and inspiring work ethic. He was passionate about his craft and took immense pride in his work.
A man of deep faith, Zlatko had a strong connection to the Croatian-Canadian community and the Croatian Martyrs Parish in Mississauga. He was a kind man with a charming personality and a great sense of humor, often sharing one-liners that brought joy to those around him. Zlatko loved to dance, enjoyed watching soccer and hockey, and cherished traveling, especially to his beloved Croatia. Above all, he treasured the time spent with his family. Zlatko leaves behind a profound legacy of love and dedication that will forever reside in the hearts of all who held him dear.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Palmer, all the staff at Amica Erin Mills, particularly Jabriya, for their compassionate care and support.
In tribute to Zlatko’s giving spirit, the family kindly requests that any charitable donations be made to the Croatian Martyrs Parish in Mississauga or to Holy Trinity Parish in Krašić, Croatia.
