Zoran Filipac, age 61, of Elgin, IL, returned peacefully to the Lord on April 28, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born June 23, 1964 in Varazdin, Croatia to Stjepan and Darinka (née Flegar) Filipac.
Zoran was a committed and beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend.
He is survived by his cherished wife of 35 years, Suzana; four children, Ana (Richard), Lucy (Karim), Nikola (Nicole), and Luka; two grandchildren, Julian and Sofia, with three more on the way; sisters, Dunja and Sonja; nephew, Martin; sisters and brothers-in-law; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. His life was a steady witness of love, care and gentle guidance, and his presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
