Zorka Jackson passed away peacefully on October 7th, 2021 at the age of 75 in Palm Desert, California.

She was born to parents Santo and Nadalina Govorcin in Zadar, Croatia and lived her early years on the island of Iz, Croatia.

At the age of 12 years, she and her mother joined her father in San Pedro, California where she became a U.S. citizen. After attending Los Angeles Harbor College, she was employed by a private investor for many years and after his passing, she was a co-owner and owner of two dress shops: Jezebels in San Pedro and Zorka's Fashions in Westminster, California.

Zorka kept in touch with the Croatian community all her life and after retirement was able to spend most summers in Croatia where she maintained a residence. After living many years in Westminster, California. Zorka and her husband relocated to Indio, California in 2015. She was very athleticso much so that she ran a half marathon in her youth! Tennis was her sport of choice most of her life and she excelled at it. She often enjoyed exercising at the gym.

She is survived by her son, John Paul Pertichella, her grandson, Mark Anthony Holt, stepson, Ty Jackson, and husband, Donald Jackson. Michael Anthony Holt, her first son, passed away on January 20th, 1994.

She will be laid to rest at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic and for the safety of all, no public services will be held.
