Zrinjka was born on December 1, 1944 in Zagreb, Croatia to Jakov and Marta Saradjen. She passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 in Liberty, Texas at the age of 79.
Zrinjka was raised in Croatia, but proudly became a U.S. citizen soon after arriving. Over the years, she grew to have an exceptionally green thumb and had a special knack for growing the biggest and most beautiful flowering plants.
These could be seen all around her property at home. Zrinjka also enjoyed antiquing and flea markets and took great pride in her home. She always had a sweet smile, kind words and caring hand for family and friends alike. Zrinjka is dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her loving family: Husband of 40 years, John E. Brockman; Daughter, Suzana Tusek and husband, Damir; Son, Tommy Carevic and wife, Cyndi; Sister, Anka "Anita" Overcamp and husband Oscar (deceased); Brother, Jakov "Braco" Saradjen and wife Victoria "Mira"; Grandchildren, Morgan Carevic, Petra & Luka Tusek, Shane Shields, and Austin Shields; multiple great grandchildren, other dear relatives and friends also survive. Zrinjka was preceded in death by her parents, Jakov and Marta Saradjen.
